How Far To Go?

19 Babies - 81 To Go! 8 Foals - 41 To Go!

Rules

What's a challenge without rules, after all?

And I've made a solemn promise to be Miss Goody Two Shoes and follow the rules of both Challenges - with a couple of twists and tweaks courtesy of myself and the way I like to play. A very big thanks goes to SIMyth and PL for their hard work in setting up the original challenges and the effort that they have put into developing the rules.

Rules for the 100 Baby & 50 Foal Challenge:

1. Create one Sim (or, if you prefer, a couple) and one horse. Gender is your choice. It is recommended that they are YA and that you play with your lifespan as extended as possible (i.e. Epic). You can choose to shorten the infant, child and teen life stages to more realistic durations - for example, I have the infant stage lasting 9 days, toddler lasting 12, child lasting 14, teen lasting 18. The Sims can be married, partners, or friends-with-benefits, it's all up to you.

2. No money cheats are permitted. Nor can you hire the maid, the butler or a babysitter unless the parents are going to the hospital for a birth.

3. Each foal can have different sires/dams. Alternatively, they can have the same parentage however to maintain this you will sacrifice a space for future foals as you can only have a maximum of six pets in the household. The sire/dam must be tamed and adopted, not bought. Similarly, infants/children/teens cannot be adopted and must be birthed into the family.

4. The  ultimate goal is to have 50 foals from the horse couple and 100 babies from the Sim couple.

5. Any lifetime rewards you earn can be used for both the horses and the Sims. The fertility lifetime reward is particularly useful.

6. You can train, race, jump with horses, etc. as you wish. Toddlers should be taught to talk, walk and potty train. Children and Teens are expected to have maxed one skill by adulthood.

7. You can sell each foal once it ages up into adulthood. You cannot sell/give away a foal. Similarly, children must move out once they age up into adulthood. If the Social Worker makes an appearance, for your children or your pets, you are immediately disqualified from the challenge.

8. Your Sims may not have a job or profession. They can collect, garden and fish, etc for extra simoleons. Self-employment is optional. Both Sims are expected to maximise their riding skill.

9. You must have the JRA International Equestrian Center in your world.

10. When it comes to lots, bigger is definitely better but the hip pocket may take a hit to start off with.

11. You may have other pets besides horses, such as a dog, cat, etc. Try to limit their numbers though so you still have room to work with your horse population.

**NEW RULE**

 12. When moving each adult child out, you must have enough funds to move them into a house. You CANNOT kick them out or place them on a vacant lot.
 And thats it!

For the moment anyway. I'm quite sure that I'll encounter a few changes and new rules to be added, so keep tuned for more soon.
